Age

Children must be at least 3 years old and all younger riders (5 and under) must be accompanied on foot by a parent.

What to Wear

Riding hats – to current British Safety Standards – must be worn at all times. We can provide hats for riders free of charge. Ideally, riding boots should be worn, although any boot or shoe with a reasonably flat, smooth sole and a low heel would be acceptable. Legs should be covered so we would recommend that trousers or thick leggings should be worn. Clothing should be suitable for the ever-changing weather conditions on the island. Riders should wear something to keep them warm and dry for the duration of the ride. Jackets should be fastened.

On Arrival

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your trek to allow for the completion of paperwork, the fitting of hats and the allocation of horses. Basic tuition is given to all trekkers. If you do not have your own riding hat we can supply one, free of charge, which complies with the latest health and safety requirements.

Children must be at least 3 years old and all younger riders (5 and under) must be accompanied on foot by a parent.

Cancellations and rescheduling

We may require to cancel or reschedule rides and other activities at short notice due to weather or other operational reasons. In that event we will contact you to try and book a suitable alternative time, otherwise, you will be given a refund in the event that we cannot reschedule your activity. Where you want to cancel, please give us as much notice as possible.  Cancellations by you more than 24 hours before your scheduled activity will be given a full refund if we are not able to reschedule.  If you cancel within 24 hours, no refund will be given and we are not obliged to reschedule your activity.
